MOSCOW, RUSSIA / RankWire.AI / – In the first seven months of 2026, Russia’s exports of goods outside the resource and energy sectors exceeded $96 billion. This represents an 8% increase compared to the same period last year, according to First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov. These figures encompass products outside Russia’s traditional energy and raw-material exports. The recent data builds on the growth seen during the first half of the year, providing a broader perspective on Russia’s manufactured and value-added exports abroad.

SMEs contributed $15.9 billion to the export total from January to July, accounting for roughly 17% of all non-resource and non-energy shipments in that period. Industry and Trade Minister Anton Alikhanov indicated that approximately 42,700 small and midsize firms are now involved in export activities. Additionally, SMEs submitted 1,042 out of 1,341 applications for the 2026 Exporter of the Year awards, representing all eight federal districts across 76 Russian regions.
Between January and June 2026, Russia reported industrial non-resource exports of $58.8 billion, compared to $57.1 billion during the same period in 2025, marking a growth of about 3%. Several manufacturing sectors experienced increased overseas sales in this timeframe. The first-half figures offer a detailed insight into the industries that are expanding Russia’s broader non-resource and non-energy export totals.
Manufacturing sectors see uptick in international sales
Exports of chemical products grew by 5.3% in the first half compared to the previous year. Shipments of mineral and chemical fertilizers increased by 10.4% over the same period. Metallurgy and precious metals exports rose by 5%, while the light industry sector saw a 25% boost. Exports of pharmaceuticals, perfumes, and cosmetics advanced by 11%. These figures, covering industrial goods classified within Russia’s non-resource and non-energy export category, compare January through June 2026 with the same months in 2025.
Russia has set a goal of $155.25 billion for total non-resource and non-energy exports in 2026, with industrial products making up $116.95 billion of that target. The country’s export total in this category reached $163.7 billion in 2025, so the 2026 target is below last year’s actual figure. These targets are part of the International Cooperation and Export national project, which promotes manufactured goods, agricultural exports, and export support services nationwide.
2030 export goal outlined in long-term plan
The same national initiative establishes a 2030 export target of $248.1 billion for non-resource and non-energy merchandise. This represents a 67% rise over the baseline established in 2023. Industrial exports are projected to comprise $192.9 billion of this total. The export support framework also offers digital services for companies involved in international trade. The program monitors growth across both industrial and agricultural sectors, assessing progress against the government’s nominal benchmarks.
The recent seven-month figures show Russia’s non-resource and non-energy exports exceeding $96 billion, with SMEs accounting for $15.9 billion. Industrial exports in the first half of 2026 reached $58.8 billion, showing gains across chemicals, fertilizers, metals, light industry, and pharmaceutical-related goods. All export values are measured in U.S. dollars. The full-year 2026 export goal remains at $155.25 billion for the broader non-resource category, which includes a separate $116.95 billion target for industrial goods.
