Tunisian tennis sensation, Ons Jabeur, secures a spot in the last eight of the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open after a commanding straight-sets victory over British player Emma Raducanu. With a bye in the Round of 32 as one of the tournament’s top seeds, Jabeur, motivated to bounce back from her doubles exit with Naomi Osaka, delivers an impressive singles performance, swiftly sealing her place in the quarter-finals.

In a match lasting just over an hour, Jabeur’s superior gameplay prevails, overwhelming Raducanu with a 6-4, 6-1 triumph, setting up a thrilling quarter-final clash against Brazil’s Beatriz Haddad Maia. Although Emma Raducanu faces disappointment, her spirited play, especially in the first set, reflects her ongoing comeback from last year’s injury setback.

In another captivating match, Sorana Cîrstea delivered a stunning performance that left spectators in awe as she secured a straight-sets victory over Maria Sakkari. Her commanding display on the court, marked by precision shots and strategic play, came as a surprise to many, setting the stage for an electrifying semi-final showdown and further igniting the competitive fervor of the tournament.
